Entry Visit Visa


Nationals of the following countries, holding ordinary passports, are permitted to enter the United Arab Emirates without a pre-obtained Entry Visit Visa. However, the Entry Visit Visa will be granted by the UAE Authorities upon arrival at any UAE ports (air, land and sea) valid for 30 days and free of charge. This visa could be extended for another 30 days and the fee will be 500.00 Dirhams  Any person who enters the UAE by an Entry Visit Visa is not allowed to work in the UAE whether paid or unpaid.
The regulations of the Transit Visa do not apply to the Nationals of the countries, with ordinary passports, listed below.

Nationals, holding ordinary passports, of the countries not listed in the above table can obtain the Entry Visit Visa to enter UAE by being sponsored by a friend or relative who lives in UAE, or by a hotel or a company based in UAE, or through applying to Emirates or Etihad Airlines (Please read the conditons carefully)

General requirements:

·      Valid Passport for at least six months from the date of first entry to the UAE.

·         Round trip airline ticket (return ticket).

 

Diplomatic / Official Passports Holders

Effective 1 October 2009, holders of diplomatic and official passports from the list below are required to apply with the UAE Embassy for an Entry Visit Visa prior to travel. The following paperwork needs to be submitted:

·         Third note verbal from their embassies or diplomatic missions. Please include the following information in the note: purpose of entry, date of entry, duration of stay, visa type (multiple or single) and departure date from Australia.

·         Valid Passport for at least six months from the date of entry to the UAE. 

·         Travel itenrary. 
·      Third Verbal Note (TPN) .
·         Completed visit visa application.

Completed visit visa application form. (please answer the question "particulars of sponsor" e.g Australian Embassy in Abu Dhabi or Australian Consulate General in Dubai).
 
 ·         Please, include a colour photocopy of both the cover and the data page of the applicant's passport.
 
Additonal Requirments for Official and Diplomatic Passports :

Applicants who are applying to obtain an entry visit visa permit to the United Arab Emirates have to fill the New Visa Application Form.

Entry Visa applicants to the UAE are advised to contact or send email message to the Consular Section in the Embassy of UAE to obtain a copy of the visa application form.

Applicant’s details has to be typed in the visa application form and all the questions should be answered . Please include the following copies of documents during the lodging of the visa application:

 

 

 

•        Completed visa application form by answering all the details (The

form has to be  signed by the applicant. Please answer the sponsor’s name & address in the form. Applicants who hold official or Diplomatic Australian passports can provide the sponsor’s details by mentioning Australian Embassy in Abu Dhabi or Australian General Consulate in Dubai as well as the address.

 

•        Coloured copy from the original visa application form.

 

•        Applicant’s two recent & coloured passport size photos. Please

affix one of it in the visa application and write the applicant's name in the photo.

 

•        A TPN from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade

from one of its offices in the Australian States, stating the purpose of entry, date of arrival & duration of stay in the UAE as well as visa type, single or multiple (valid for 1 , 3 or 6 months). Please mention the sponsor name in the TPN (Australian Embassy in Abu Dhabi or Australian General Consulate in Dubai).

 

.       If the Australian applicant is a member of the Australian Defence

Force, he /she has to submit a supportive letter from the UAE Military Attaché Office in Canberra (Phone: 02 - 6298 7777 Addres: 20 Pindari Crescent, O’mally)

 

•        Coloured, clear & light copy of the visa applicant’s passport data

page and its cover ( which shows the type of the passport) as well as the original passport.

 

•        The validity of the applicant’s passport has to be at least six

months or more from the date of entry to the UAE.

 

. Holders of an Ordinary/personal/normal Australian passports will be granted an entry visit/tourist visa on arrival at one of the UAE Airports.

So they don't need to apply through the Embassy.

 

 

•        If the applicant is one of the Embassies or Consulates Diplomat

which are accredited in Australia, he / she has to submit a TPN from his /her Embassy or Consulate stating the purpose of entry, date & duration of stay in the UAE and visa type, single or multiple (valid for 1 or 3 months) as well as the requirements which are mentioned on the above. Please mention the sponsor name in the TPN (your country's Embassy or Consulate General in the UAE.

 

•        The processing of an entry permit visa is at least 10 working days

Transit Visa

The Transit Visa could be granted to a passenger transiting to a third destination through one of the UAE airports by the concerned authorities of the airport. This type of visa will allow the passenger to stay in the United Arab Emirates for 96 hours or less. The passenger can apply for the Transit Visa on arrival at the airport. It can be arranged also for the passenger by the Emirates airline prior his/her travel to the UAE.

Transit Visa Eligibility:
Any passenger who fulfills the following conditions will be eligible to apply for a transit visa. The fee is 100 Dirhams:

·         A passport with a minimum validity of 6 months.

·         An airline ticket that shows the continuation of the trip to a third destination.

·         Departing the UAE within 96 hours from the period of the obtaining of Transit Visa. (The period of 96 hours starts from the arrival time and ends in departure time.)
